Independence and security
Since 2012, Aquila Ltd. holds a banking license and offers comprehensive custodian bank services exclusively for independent asset managers, family offices and their clients. Aquila Bank does not operate in the mortgage business and runs no proprietary trading which results in a high level of reliability for the entrusted assets. Client funds are predominantly invested with the Swiss National Bank and short-dated government bonds in the respective currency (e.g. Swiss government bonds, treasury bills, gilts, etc.). As Aquila Bank operates no private banking of its own, there are no conflicts between the asset management and the private client business.
Aquila Bank is fully privately owned and offers the highest degree of independence and security. The services offered by the custodian bank are not only aimed at partner companies of Aquila Ltd., but also at all independent asset managers in Switzerland.
